Twins

A set of twins was born one day
One child a girl, one child a boy
Their parents drove them to succeed
Perfection was their only creed

The children learned to play guitar
Their fingers bled until they scarred
A rivalry was soon begun
Each child refused to be outdone

And so one day they wrote a song
Their playing never was as strong
And in this song, they traded leads
So now it’s time to hear their deeds

One child cracked under the strain
That child’s loss, the other’s gain
One solo left yet to be played
